Grounding on Community Perspectives
Highlighting voices and evidence from the ground
We take on research initiatives to gather stories from those most affected by the triple planetary crisis, to ensure that their perspectives, knowledge, and evidence are highlighted in key dialogues.
Socially Accountable Governance for Just Energy Transition: Perspectives and Key Demands from Communities and Civil Society in Southeast Asia
In partnership with Oxfam Pilipinas, we led a research project exploring the role and significance of social accountability mechanisms in advancing both regional and national just transitions. Using an inclusive, people-centered research approach, the study captured the lived experiences, needs, and perspectives of diverse social groups—including women, children and youth, and Indigenous Peoples, among others.
Through this research, we aim to provide insights into how institutions and governments can strengthen justice and accountability mechanisms within their systems, particularly in the shift toward a low-carbon economy. By amplifying the voices of disadvantaged, vulnerable, and marginalized communities, we strive to ensure that no one is left behind in our journey toward a just and greener society.
The initial findings of the study have been presented in various events, and is expected for publication by early 2025.
